You know those days when you feel ugly and fat?
I had one of those days.
I thought this Fairy Tale Smoothie Cereal shimmering in pink and sprinkled with granola and TJ Fiber Cereal would cheer me up.
Fairy Tale Smoothie
3 Strawberries
1 Frozen banana
1 Papaya cube
I plastered a fake smile on my face and shoved my breakfast into my mouth.
I tried to not let my mood affect me when lunch came around. But somehow, this colorful creation didn’t make me feel any better. Instead, I felt nauseous and sick from probably eating too much.
Raw Zucchini Hummus
adapted from Choosing Raw
2 zucchini, chopped
½ cup lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 ½ tsp cumin
1 cup raw tahini (the Artisana brand is nice; substitute regular tahini if you need to)
4 tbsp olive oil
½ cup raw sesame seeds
I finally gave up feeling sorry for myself around 3 in the afternoon. I decided to trumped outside in my bathrobe.
Camera in one hand. Princess umbrella in the other.
Hello Gorgeous.
I didn’t know such beauties could be seen right in my backyard.
I didn’t know that on such a gloomy and wet day, the simple wonders of Mother Nature could make me feel so amazing.
I forgot that one only had to feel beautiful to see beautiful.
I felt amazing.
I felt gorgeous.
Aw, this is such a great post. You’re right. There is SO much natural beauty around us…in their pure, natural form. So why not view our natural form as beautiful as well?
p.s. Holy crap. Do you go to USC?!!!! Why didn’t you tell me? If you ever wanna meet up, let me know! 🙂
“I forgot that one only had to feel beautiful to see beautiful.”
amen to that!
your breakfast looked so, so good!
i’d say the same for the lunch, but i’m not much of a fan of any type of hummus 😛
